Introductory Question Answers

1. My name is Kendall Hall, but I go by Rob, which is a shortening of my middle name, Robert. I am a junior pursuing a BA in communication design.
2. Most of my background is in music recording and events / arts programming. This includes, art galleries, music concerts, and arts based community service initatives. I am taking this class for my major.
3. I have zero experience in any form of coding.
4. I hope to become more literate in basic HTML and CSS language for future design purposes
5. Designing for screen has to take into account that not everything will always be in the field of view, which is not true of design on paper
6. Genius: I think this website utilizes effective design through it's use of the homepage to highlight the various landing spots and messages of the platform. Everything can be seen, and headers clearly direct the user to other pages and links.
7. ASOS: I think this website exemplifies effective communication because the items are correctly categorized and easy to see. Further, the items are described well, and the pages are easy to move through.
8. The FADER: I think this website works well in that the interface is easy to navigate, the branding is strong, and the aesthetic matches the tone of the magazine.
